Our colleague Ľubica Voľanská participated in a workshop for UNESCO facilitators. She attended this training as part of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
The five-day training session for UNESCO facilitators saw the participation of 24 individuals from Europe and North America. The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the facilitators’ skills in supporting member states, non-governmental organizations, and communities in safeguarding living heritage. Participants engaged in discussions on current issues related to the protection of living heritage in our region.
The workshop took place from October 23 to October 27, 2023, in Tirana, Albania, and was organized as part of the United Nations Organization Week 2023 in Albania.
