Short abstract of the lecture:
Social cohesion, polarisation, and anti-system sentiment in Slovak society represent social phenomena that have recently gained increased attention in both public and academic discussions. The lecture will briefly outline the theoretical framework of social cohesion, polarisation, and anti-system sentiment in the Slovak context, while also presenting an overview of their specific manifestations based on findings from a representative quantitative survey. The results were analysed in the studies Polarisation and the Anti-System 2025: Slovakia and Trends of (Dis)Trust 2025, developed in cooperation between the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology SAS (IESA SAS) and the DEKK Institute.
We look forward to your participation and discussion!
