Meeting of COST Review Panels in Brussels
On 10–12 March 2026, the Meeting of COST Review Panels for the COST 2025 proposals took place in Brussels. Among the evaluators of several hundred applications was J. Majo from our institute, who was nominated as an evaluator this year.
In the panel Advancing knowledge, empowering communities: the role of SSH (mainly history, law, economics, anthropology, cultural heritage…) and performing arts to address societal challenges, eight evaluators from across Europe met to select the best proposals from a group of very high-quality projects in the final stage of the process.
Over three days, the projects were individually assessed, and at the end each panel presented current trends, methodologies, and themes observed across the proposals. It is encouraging that COST projects—primarily focused on building research networks—have seen a significant increase in interest over the past year, including among researchers from our institute.
