Book Series Roma History and Culture Published by Brill
The book series Roma History and Culture, founded and edited by our colleagues Elena Marushiakova and Veselin Popov and published by Brill, now comprises eight volumes.
These publications challenge prevailing academic and popular narratives that portray Roma as a marginalised community and passive objects of state policies. Instead, the series presents Roma as active agents with their own views, visions, and development strategies, contributing to the recovery of Roma historical memory and to reflections on alternative forms of citizenship.
