Discussion on the Forthcoming Book Avion with Ľubica Voľanská at the “Cez prah” Housing Festival 2025
Our colleague Ľubica Voľanská took part on Saturday, 15 November 2025, in a discussion about the forthcoming book Avion, which is to be published in the coming days by Čierne diery (in cooperation with the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Institute of History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences).
The discussion was moderated by Radoslav Passia of the Institute of Slovak Literature of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and featured both authors of the book – Ľubica Voľanská and Katarína Haberlandnová – together with the photographer Anton Sládek.
The event formed part of the Cez prah Housing Festival 2025, held in Bratislava from 15 to 17 November 2025. The festival’s programme recalls the phenomenon of apartment-based cultural events of the 1970s and 1980s and is thematically linked to 17 November. The venues comprise intimate spaces across Bratislava (for example, the Rómer House café on Zámočnícka 10, the former House of Participants of the Resistance on Ventúrska 4, and the Avion apartment block near Americké Square).
