Elena Marushiakova and Veselin Popov at the symposium in Oslo
Elena Marushiakova and Veselin Popov will participate as invited speakers on October 17, 2025, at the symposium “Discrimination against the Roma in Central and Eastern Europe” at the Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies in Oslo.
They will present a paper titled “Contemporary Roma Historical Narrative about the Policy of the Bulgarian State Towards the Roma During the Second World War,” which focuses on Roma historical interpretations of Bulgaria’s policy toward Roma during World War II.
