Expert assessment of the fulfilment of the Strategy for Equality, Inclusion and Participation of Roma until 2023

A team of experts in Romani Studies at IESA SAS participates in the national project Monitoring and evaluation of inclusive policies aimed at the Roma population, especially marginalized Roma communities – Phase I (Project code 401406DNI5), within which the experts conduct an external expert assessment of the implementation of the Strategy of Equality, Inclusion and Participation of Roma until 2030.
This strategic document represents a commitment of the Government of the Slovak Republic, which at the level of priorities defines the direction of public policies in order to achieve visible change in the field of equality and inclusion of Roma. Regular European as well as national assessments continue to state that priority areas remain crucial for achieving objectives. Particular emphasis is placed on non-discrimination and intensification of interventions against anti-Roma racism. The independent expertise of IESA SAS. will focus on the assessment of the degree of implementation of the Strategy via Action Plans for 2022 to 2024 in five strategic priority areas: education, housing, employment, health, combating anti-Roma racism, and support for participation.
