This week marks the start of another edition of the Ethnofilm Čadca Festival, with contributions from experts from our institute.
Among others, the festival will show the ethnographic film Hopa lide directed by our colleague Petr Nuska, who joined the team of our institute this September. The film will be presented in the block shown on at 3:00 p.m. at the Department of Mediamatics and Cultural Heritage, Faculty of Humanities, University of Žilina. The film will be followed by a discussion with the author.
This collaborative documentary, which involved Roma musicians from central Slovakia, was recently awarded an honourable mention in the ICTMD Documentary Film or Video Prize for its innovative approach.
