The Institute has established cooperation with the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic on defining the cultural regions of Slovakia

The Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, v. v. i., has established cooperation with the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic on defining the cultural regions of Slovakia.
Researchers from the institute—Juraj Majo, Zuzana Beňušková, and PhD candidate Martin Lukáč—have incorporated the structure of cultural regions into the lists of municipalities of the Slovak Republic. This will enable the collection of statistical data at the level of these regions. The cooperation is based on a memorandum between the two institutions. Further details will be shared by the involved researchers during the institute’s seminar.
