VER 2022 (Verification of Excellence in Research)
Our institute received positive feedback from the international panel of reviewers in our scientific field as part of the VER 2022 (Verification of Excellence in Research) periodic assessment, for our publication output covering the years 2014–2019.
According to our quality profile, a total of 60% of our publications reach either the world-leading level (8%) or a significant international level (52%).
For comparison, the national research profile of Slovakia (across all disciplines) shows only 22% of outputs at the world-leading (4%) and significant international (18%) levels combined. The average among public research institutions within the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) reaches 36.9% at these levels — 7.1% world-leading and 29.8% internationally significant.
In total, the VER 2022 evaluation assessed 20 public universities and 44 public research institutions across Slovakia, evaluating 308 submissions and 7,700 outputs of scientific and creative activity.
