International ‘Best Book in Romani Studies’ Award for 2024 Goes to E. Marushiakova and V. Popov
The International Committee of the Gypsy Lore Society (founded 1888), as part of its annual conference in Paris, awarded the Best Book in Romani Studies prize to authors E. Marushiakova and V. Popov for their book Stalin vs. Gypsies. Roma and Political Repressions in the USSR (Brill, 2024).
Following the SAS (Slovak Academy of Sciences) Award for Scientific Research Results in June 2025, this represents another significant recognition of their long-term and detailed research, this time at an international level. We offer both authors our sincere congratulations!
