Book Avion Receives Literary Fund Award
We are delighted to announce that Avion, a publication by our colleague Ľubica Voľanská and her co-author Katarína Haberlandová from the Institute of History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, has received the Literary Fund’s Award for Scientific and Professional Literature in the Social Sciences category.
The book brings together architectural history with ethnological and social-anthropological perspectives. Through the story of the functionalist Avion apartment building, its architect and its residents, it traces the transformation of Bratislava and everyday life over the course of the twentieth century.
We warmly congratulate both authors on this distinction and wish the publication many more appreciative readers.
