Roundtable of National Coordinators of SSH Research Infrastructures: Joining Forces for Enhanced Collaboration
IESA SAS, as the coordinating institution of the DARIAH-SK platform, initiated a roundtable of national coordinators of research infrastructures (RIs) in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).
Representatives from prominent platforms in Slovakia accepted the invitation to participate in the hybrid meeting:
- DARIAH-SK (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) – A. Gogora (ÚESA SAV, v. v. i.)
- CLARIN-SK (Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure) – J. Levická (JUĽŠ SAV, v. v. i.)
- ESS ERIC (European Social Survey) – D. Fedáková (SvÚ CSPV SAV, v. v. i.)
- SASD-CESSDA (Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives) – M. Bahna (SÚ SAV, v. v. i.)
- MEDEM (Monitoring Electoral Democracy) – O. Gyarfášová (FSEV UK)
- GGP (Generations and Gender Programme) – M. Šedovič (FSEV UK)
The primary objective of this event was to share experiences and know-how concerning the coordination of RI platforms at both the national and international levels. The open discussion confirmed the necessity for a prompt and mutual exchange of information, as well as the interest of national coordinators in supporting a unified approach for SSH regarding RI management. From a long-term perspective, the benefit of such activities should be the amplification of the voice of SSH infrastructures and the enhancement of their overall sustainability.
