Library
The Library, together with the Scientific Collections, forms part of the Information and Documentation Section (IDS) of the IESA SAS. The Library is a special scientific library integrated in the SAS library and information network. Its mission is to create an information base for the fulfilment of scientific, research, professional, and scientific-educational tasks.
The Library collects information sources and makes them available in accordance with the scientific mission of the IESA SAS, including from fields of related scientific disciplines, as well as encyclopaedic and dictionary literature, doctoral and dissertation theses defended at the Institute. In accordance with the scientific nature and mission of the Library, the stored documents are primarily provided to employees and doctoral students of the IESA SAS. Providing documents and services to other persons is an additional activity, the scope of which is based on the current possibilities and tasks of the workplace.

Library Elimination Committee
The Library Elimination Committee compiles proposals for removal and a list of library units to be discarded from the Library of the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences collection.
