Academic Board
The Academic Board of the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology SAS is the scientific body of the workplace with competences in the field of concept of scientific research activities, doctoral studies, and other scientific and organisational issues.
The Academic Board, according to The organisational rules of the IESA SAS, sets out the scientific profiling of the Institute and the concept of its further development. It comments on submitted project proposals for research, development, and innovation, is involved in staff appraisals, gives its opinions on doctoral studies, and, since 2001, has organised scientific seminars. The aim of the seminars is to develop scientific thinking within the Institute and to ensure awareness of projects and tasks carried out by its employees.
